Job description: Job Description:Our client in Cochrane is seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Full Charge Bookkeeper to join their team on a contract basis. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in accounting, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.Responsibilities:
- Record revenue, expenses, assets, and liabilities; maintaining accurate and up-to-date ledgers
- Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable process
- Conduct account reconciliations and ensure the accuracy of financial data
- Perform bank reconciliations and monitor daily cash flow
- Conduct account analysis and provide recommendations for process and/or policy improvement
- Collaborate with internal teams to ensure accurate financial reporting
- Compile information for financial dashboards and other reporting tools
- Prepare and process payroll, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations
- Responsible for payroll and all related activity regarding government and pension/benefit remittances
- Ad-hoc duties as requested

- Experience working in a not-for-profit organization is an asset
Qualifications and Knowledge:
- Previous experience as a Full Charge Bookkeeper or similar position
- Post-secondary education in a related field
- Experience dealing with payroll and a complete understanding of the Employment Standards across Canada; including taxable benefits in relation to MERC, RRSP, and employee benefits
- Related experience that demonstrates growth and the progression of skills and responsibilities
- Proficient in QuickBooks
- Intermediate to advanced MS Office skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint, and Outlook)
- Experience with government claim processes and reporting is an asset
- Experience managing an audit (from the client side) is an asset
- Must have the ability to learn new software systems
- Available to start immediately
