In this General Accountant role in Scarborough, you will be responsible for the following:
– Prepare and maintain financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
– Conduct month-end and year-end closing processes.
– Perform general ledger reconciliations and maintain accurate financial records.
– Handle accounts payable and accounts receivable functions.
– Ensure compliance with internal controls, company policies, and accounting standards.
– Assist in the preparation of budgets and financial forecasts.
– Analyze financial data to identify trends and variances, providing insights to management.
– Coordinate and support external audits and tax filings.
– Manage inventory accounting and cost analysis.
– Participate in the development and implementation of accounting procedures and systems to improve efficiency and accuracy.Qualifications
We are looking for the following for this General Accountant role located in Scarborough:
– Minimum 3 years of accounting experience across all aspects of the function
– A bachelor’s degree in either business administration or accounting.
– Experience working with JD Edwards or similar ERP is a great asset.
– Previous experience working in Manufacturing is a strong asset.Summary
