We are seeking committed, compassionate people who can multi-task to meet a variety of challenges.This training program has been designed to provide you with all of the knowledge and skills you need to be successful.Return of Service (ROS): $10,000 to recent PSW graduates in exchange for a 12-month commitment to work full-time in a long-term care home or within the community.This training program includes the following:Four (4) weeks of PAID HSW Training: Monday to Friday 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM.Training for the HSW Program is paid at $18.05/hrCandidates who successfully complete the 4 weeks HSW paid training program, will be offered work as a Home Support Worker within our health care team upon graduationLearn: Activities of personal care, Household management and General supportWho You Are:Caring and compassionateCalm under pressureA strong communicator (written and verbal)Friendly and collaborativeComfortable taking direction and working independentlyGood problem-solving skills and attention to detailExcellent organizational skills and agility within a changing environmentDemonstrated ability to recognize safety concernsRequirements:Ability to travel and attend meetings to support the needs of the patientHaving a valid driver’s license and reliable transportation is mandatoryHaving a standard First Aid and level C CPR certificate within 3 weeks of start dateProof of updated required Immunizations MMR, Varicella/Zosters, HepB, Tetanus and a negative Tuberculosis test (within 6 months)Must have a clear police check and vulnerable sector check (Upon Job Offer)At SE, we love what we do.
