Job DescriptionJob Scope:The High Voltage Subsystem validation engineer will be responsible for development, and validation of Electrified Powertrain High Voltage Safety features across the vehicle platforms.Responsibilities:
- Develop and optimize subsystem level design validation plan (DVP)
Perform design validation (DV) on HV features and strategies on system benches and in vehiclesEnsure validation activities meets the program timingAnalyze validation results and actively engaging appropriate team members on issue resolutionDevelop HV system development properties: Subsystem bucks, tools, proceduresPrepare the validation reportTrack and Submit validation issues on appropriate tracking toolRepeat validation process on multiple SW releases throughout the programSupport the development of vehicle and supplier component high voltage specificationsPerform lesson learned and optimize existing process, tools, safety feature and strategyProblem solving at vehicle, system, component, hardware, software, and tool levelPerform and train first run/ triage/ garage and plant on HV safety check outSupport compliance testing activitiesQualificationsBasic Qualifications:Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Applied Physics, Systems, or Computer Engineering, or related Engineering field from an ABET accredited, or ABET equivalent universityKnowledge in product engineering design and development, with emphasis on systems and product developmentUnderstand real-time systems, hardware and softwareUnderstand regulatory requirements, industry standards and recommended practicesPossess strong verbal and written communication skillsCoordinate activities with cross functional teamsPreferred Qualifications:Master’s degree, as accredited by ABET or ABET equivalent; other graduate level technical degrees in the specific area of relevant specialty expertiseSchool projects pertaining to electrified vehiclesGreat knowledge of electrification technology, functionality and features on the system levelA self-starterHigh voltage safety experience with hands-on work on high voltage systems/componentsExperience with HV safety features including isolation, interlock loop, equipotential bonding.Knowledge on Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standards (FMVSS) requirementsKnowledge on FCA assembly plant operations and overall development processHigh voltage training and experience is desirableSW INCA, CANalyzer, Canoe, MS project, VisioAdditional Information
