Job description: Inside Sales ManagerOur client is searching for an Inside Sales Manager to join their team. This role is responsible for developing a team of highly productive Inside Sales Representatives that meet and exceed revenue targets while promptly and professionally addressing the needs of prospective and existing customers. A successful candidate will provide coaching and mentoring to all inside sales staff, providing motivation and encouragement and maintaining exceptional standards of customer service and accountability amongst the sales and customer service team.Your success will be defined by your ability to:
- Lead the team to consistently meet or exceed sales quotas, driving revenue growth through new and existing accounts
- Train and motivate the sales team, fostering a collaborative and results-driven culture
- Build long-term customer loyalty by addressing needs, resolving issues, and increasing account retention and growth
- Optimize sales processes, ensuring accurate CRM data management, and deliver actionable insights through performance reporting
- Align sales activities with business objectives, contribute to market growth, and implement innovation strategies to maintain a competitive edge
- Supervise and mentor the inside sales team, ensuring alignment with company goals
- Conduct regular team meetings to discuss goals, progress and strategies
- Manage recruitment, onboarding, and training for new team members
- Develop and implement effective sales plans to achieve revenue targets
- Monitor and forecast sales trends to align efforts with business objectives
- Coordinate with marketing to generate and nurture leads effectively
- Oversee account management activities to maintain and grown customer relationships
- Resolve escalated customer issues promptly to ensure satisfaction
- Streamline workflows and optimize sales processes to improve efficiency
- Liaise with other departments, like marketing, external sales, and customer support, to align strategies
- Share market and customer insights with product development teams
- Support cross-functional projects aimed at business growth
- Analyze sales data to identify trends and recommend adjustments to strategies
- Stay updated on industry trends and competitor activities
- Implement innovative techniques to improve team performance and customer engagement
- Ensure compliance with company policies and relevant regulations
- Prepare and deliver periodic sales forecasts, budgets, and activity reports
- Champions compliance to all policies, procedures, and practices in support of the ISO9001 and Safety program
Your strengths include:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field
- Certificate or Diploma in Sales Management or equivalent will be an asset
- 5+ years of sales experience, including 3 years of field sales management experience in a business-to-business environment
- 4+ years of management experience
- Extensive experience in sales management and particularly that of staff motivation and development across advertising, sponsorship, and exhibitions’ sales
- Several years of experience as a sales or marketing representative (or a related occupation) are required
- Demonstrateable experience of developing sales strategy and product development plans linking to the business plan with knowledge of national and international markets
- Strong working knowledge of motivation, training, appraisal and general supervisory skills
- Leadership ability and team building skills to effectively supervise professional and non-professional staff required
- Able to effectively communicate both verbally and in writing
- Able to build and maintain lasting relationships with corporate departments, key business partners, and customers
- High level of proficiency with Microsoft Office productivity suite
- Well-developed problem solving skills, and the ability to develop conceptual alternatives
- Able to find new methods and principles and ability to incorporate them into existing maintenance practices as needed
- High degree of resourcefulness, flexibility, and adaptability
