The ideal candidate will have B2B sales support experience and a background in the building products testing and certification space. The Inside Sales Representative will be responsible for supporting outside sales efforts and leading inside sales efforts. The Inside Sales Representative will possess a client-centric business acumen and a sound understanding of needs assessment, productive collaboration, and sales tracking.REPORTING STRUCTUREThis position reports to the Sales Director, Canada. The position is located at Intertek’s Mississauga, ON location.EXAMPLES OF WORK

  • Receiving, reviewing, actioning, and managing incoming inquiries
  • Ongoing prospect and client outreach
  • Creating project proposals in collaboration with technical team(s)
  • Following up open project proposals and tracking follow up results (in CRM)
  • Tracking and accurately relaying information/data by consistently maintaining/updating CRM
  • Preparing activity/sales/revenue reports, as required
  • Consistently contribute to achieving regional sales/order/revenue targets
  • Providing support to outside sales and operations teams
  • Collaborating with Marketing Department and internal stakeholders to support the execution of marketing initiatives
  • Supporting sales outreach efforts (i.e., industry event/tradeshow preparation)
  • Perform other work as required.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • University Degree Preferred. College Diploma in related field acceptable
  • 2+ years’ successful sales support experience. Preferably in building products manufacturing or construction
  • 2+ years’ experience successfully collaborating with technical/non-technical stakeholders and decision makers
  • Must be self-motivated and effective in a fast-paced environment
  • Experience with Microsoft Dynamics CRM is an asset
  • Must possess excellent collaboration and written/oral communication skills
  • Must possess excellent interpersonal skills
  • Must possess strong organizational and time management skills
  • Working knowledge of computer systems (i.e. Microsoft Office, Excel, CRM software) is essential
  • Experience working with diverse teams (engineering, operations, marketing) required
  • Infrequent travel can be expected
  • Physical dexterity/mobility to travel via car, airplane and perform all clerical functions inherent to the position.
