Key Responsibilities include:

  • Provide high quality service to our internal and external customers.
  • Provide high quality service to our internal and external customers.
  • Perform repairs of all surgical and medical instruments as required.
  • Perform equipment modifications as required.
  • Create and track international shipments to move instrumentation to primary off-site vendor as required.
  • Perform preventive maintenance according to OEM requirements and appropriate industry standards.
  • Maintain adequate records of installations, repairs, and service activities to meet ISO and appropriate Company standards.
  • Maintain appropriate inventory of tools and parts to service products.
  • Ensure communication is effective and informative regarding issues which may affect the quality of service or products.
  • Ensure cooperation with special projects as required.

As an ideal candidate, you have:

  • Post-secondary education in Mechanical Technology, or equivalent.
  • One (1) to three (3)years’ experience servicing surgical instruments and / or other product in a metal production environment.
  • Excellent time management skills and ability to effectively prioritize.
  • Knowledge of OR instrumentation and medical/surgical supplies is an asset.
  • Medical Device Reprocessing Technician Certificate is an asset.
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
  • Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in Excel, MS Office Software and Inventory Management systems.
  • Proven mechanical skills / technical aptitude.
  • Ability to travel.
  • Ability to lift or move up to 50lbs (23kg).
  • Manual dexterity.
