Job description: Job DescriptionAre you a motivated and professional accountant seeking a hands-on role where you can contribute to the full cycle of financial activities for a prestigious company with over a century of progressive business in the Greater Halifax/Dartmouth area?As Intermediate Accountant with our notable client, youll play a pivotal role in ensuring accuracy and integrity for the companys day-to-day financial records while providing valuable insights to support strategic decision making. This is a full-time, permanent in-office role based in Halifax, Nova Scotia.Key Responsibilities for the Job:
- Full cycle accounting
- General ledger maintenance
- Bank reconciliations
- Sales tracking and work order reviews
- Financial reporting
- Expense tracking
- Inventory management
- Month-end closing
- Other duties and projects as assigned
Experience & Attributes for Success:
- Post-secondary education in accounting is preferred or other equivalent training/career experience
- Confident professional with a self-motivated work ethic
- Ability to take charge, assess workflow demands, and delegate
- Independent and reliable while also being a collaborative team player with management
- Proven experience establishing and implementing processes and procedures
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities
