Job description: DescriptionOur Burnaby client is seeing a full-time Intermediate Accountant to join the team on a permanent basis.**Competitive salary ranging from $65,000 to $75,000 + Benefits**Benefits:

The Intermediate Accountant is responsible for supporting the full cycle accounting processes for Accounts Payable, Revenue, and other aspects of the finance department. The work environment is fast paced with tight deadlines; the ability to multitask, organize, and prioritize is essential, as well as the ability to support the development of new finance procedures.Responsibilities:
Reporting to the Controller, you will:

• Process day to day financial transactions including verifying, classifying and recording Revenue
• Assist in processing month end close, including journal entries, bank reconciliations, revenue reconciliations, inventory reconciliations, investments, accruals, depreciation, prepaid expenses, and rebates
• Reconcile general ledger accounts, sub ledgers, and prepare reconciliation entries
• Participate in identifying and preventing discrepancies, and ensuring integrity of the General Ledger
• Liaise with various credit card holders to reconcile multiple monthly credit card statements and update schedules
• Monthly/ bi-weekly reconciliation of consolidated cash deposit reports to bank accounts
• Prepare reconciliation of revenue report from Salesforce and reconcile with amount received in the bank, explaining any discrepancies
• Assist in preparing GST and HST remittances, and other Federal and provincial corporate filings as required
• Assist in year-end audit
• Assist in continuous finance improvement activities, from idea generation to implementation
• Assist in the formulation of internal controls and policies to comply with legislation and established best practices

Successful Candidate:

• Degree in business or finance
• Working towards CPA designation or equivalent of training and work experience
• 2+ years hands-on general accounting experience
• Excellent oral and written communication skills

Expected salary: $65000 – 75000 per year
