Job description: Intermediate Accountant
Our client is looking for an Intermediate Accountant to join their team in Leduc. The successful candidate will support specific divisions within the corporate group while assisting with financial reporting, analysis, and other ad hoc projects.Your success will be defined by your ability to:

• Perform AR functions including conversion of field tickets to invoices, monitor open tickets, generate and submit invoices, post deposits
• Work closely with the operations team to ensure all work is invoiced on a timely basis
• Prepare account reconciliations and working papers for month-end and year-end
• Accounting for fixed assets (additions, disposals, depreciation)
• Utilize intermediate/advanced Excel skills to analyze financial data efficiently
• Maintain strong verbal and written communication skills to effectively liaise with internal and external stakeholders
• Manage time effectively to meet deadlines consistently
• Assist the accounting manager with month-end and year-end work and other projects as needed
• 80% of the role will be conducted in the Leduc office and 20% will be done remotely

Your strengths include:

• Minimum of 2-3 years of accounting experience in an industry setting is preferred.
• Proficiency in Excel and ability to work with large data sets
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
• Ability to work independently and demonstrate self-motivation
• Strong organizational abilities and capacity to multitask
• Knowledge of Power BI is an asset
