Job description: Job Description:In anticipation of future needs Robert Half is currently seeking Intermediate Accountants throughout the Calgary region.As an Intermediate Accountant your day to day responsibilities may include, but not be limited to:

• Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements
• Perform reconciliations of accounts and investigate discrepancies
• Assist in the preparation of budgets, forecasts, and financial analyses
• Support the accounts payable and accounts receivable functions
• Assist with the preparation of tax filings and compliance requirements
• Collaborate with other departments to gather financial data and provide insights
• Contribute to process improvements and efficiency initiatives within the finance team
• Stay up-to-date with accounting regulations and best practices
• Ad-hoc duties as requested

Requirements:A successful Intermediate Accountant will possess the following:

• Post-secondary education in related field
• 2+ years of experience as an Intermediate Accountant or similar position
• Strong understanding of accounting principles and practices
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (intermediate level)
• Experience with SAP preferred
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
• Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills
• Ability to work effectively in a team environment and collaborate across departments
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
• Available to start immediately
