As an Intermediate Accountant, play a key role in assisting the finance department and managers on-site with the day-to-day accounting functions. This means:

  • Preparing general bookkeeping
  • Preparing adjusting entries and accruals at month-end
  • Performing bank, vendor, account reconciliations
  • Investigating any discrepancies
  • Supporting the finance department with special projects throughout the year.
  • You will also fill in for other duties when needed, which include but are not limited to: billings; account payables/receivables; entering data; and maintaining financial records.

  • Degree/diploma in Business, along with approximately 5 years of accounting work experience. Please note that this is not a CPA articling position as this is not a CPA training office.
  • The ideal candidate is someone looking for a long-term role and does not mind the sometimes-repetitive nature of the work
  • You have solid experience working with accounting software, and experience with Yardi Voyager is considered an asset.
  • You have solid experience working with Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook.
  • You’re able to work independently and make sound decisions. Your attention to detail helps you find and address problems efficiently.
  • You’re a superb communicator! You have a strong ability to recognize people’s needs and deliver solutions in a timely manner.
  • You’re adaptable to change but enjoy the consistency of this role. You’re constantly challenging yourself to improve, increase efficiency and take on new tasks.

At PARC Retirement Living we understand the importance of immunization to protect our residents, team members and visitors from COVID-19. A such, a prerequisite of employment is that all new hires are fully vaccinated as approved by Health Canada. Expected salary: $65000 – 75000 per year
