The Inventory Coordinator will be responsible for maintaining an inventory system, fuel monitoring system a detailed cost accounting on all repairs, tender call preparation, and labelling tools and parts within the Public Works Shop.The successful applicant will be required to work a 40 or 45 hours work week based on the time of year. The salary range for this position is $60,000 – $90,000. ✓ Developing and maintaining an inventory control program used for year-end inventory control, audit and summary reporting
✓ Maintaining a detailed cost accounting on all repairs for equipment
✓ Ordering parts, picking up parts, preparing full purchase order information
✓ Work with the Mechanics, Shop Foreman and Public Works Director to purchase shop supplies and tools
✓ Prepare gravel summaries monthly for payment, invoicing, and year-end inventory
✓ Set up and monitor users for the card lock systems for fuel distribution
✓ Updating vehicle fleet inventory information for all trucks and equipment
✓ Assist with Driver Evaluation and National Safety Codes TrainingRequirementsThe successful candidate will be a certified parts technician or be willing to obtain the certification with a minimum of three (3) years of experience working in a similar role.In accordance with our Substance Abuse Prevention Policy, pre-employment drug and alcohol testing is required prior to commencing employment.
Expected salary: $60000 – 90000 per year
