Job description: ​Position: Ironworker Journeyperson – Maintenance & TurnaroundsProject Type: Plant Maintenance / Projects / Turnarounds & OutagesGC: GrahamReference Number: 26768Jardeg is recruiting Ironworker Journeypersons (Structural/Ornamental) for various project sites in the Province of Alberta. This is an expression of interest for future opportunities within the Maintenance and Turnaround group.Opportunities may include fly-in/fly-out, drive-in/drive-out and local roles, which depending on the scope of work may provide camp accommodations, LOA or other travel incentives. We often recruit for both long term and short term positions, which allows more flexibility for you.We would be happy to review your candidacy for future opportunities and look forward to speaking with you.As an Ironworker your key responsibilities include but is not limited to:Erecting and installing scaffolding, construction cranes, derricks and other hoisting equipment.Assemble rigging (cables, pulleys, hooks) to move heavy equipment and materials. Assemble and erect pre-fabricated metal structuresCheck the alignments and join steel parts by bolting or tack welding them with an electric arc process.Qualifications:Journeyperson Ironworker (generalist, structural or ornamental) certification.Proven experience as a Journeyperson Ironworker, preferably in industrial or construction settings.Comprehensive knowledge of ironworker materials, tools, and installation techniques.Strong commitment to safety practices and protocols.Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.Ability to work efficiently in a team environment and independently as required.Effective communication skills to collaborate with team members and project stakeholders.Minimum Requirements:Common Safety Orientation (CSO) or CSTS-09Energy Safety Canada Certified Confined Space Entry & MonitorEnergy Safety Canada Certified Fall Arrest and/or Fall ProtectionBasic Rigging CertificationSatisfactory completion of a Pre-Access Drug and Alcohol TestPreferred Requirements:Aerial Work PlatformFirst AidWHMISCOME AND GET YOUR BOOTS DIRTYWith a significant presence in the construction, industrial maintenance, and turnaround sectors, Jardeg is the largest recruiter of skilled trades in Canada.
