Job description: Position: Ironworker Journeyperson – Shell Scotford – MaintenanceProject Type: MaintenanceProject Location: Fort SaskatchewanShift: DaysSchedule: 9/80GC: GrahamAllied Partner: Jardeg Construction Services Ltd.Reference Number: 29217Jardeg Construction is recruiting a Ironworker Journeyperson to join the Heartland Construtors Inc. maintenance team at SHELL Scotford maintenance scope near Fort Saskatchewan, Alberta. This is a temporary position starting August 05th ending approximately December 31st, 2025, with a Monday to Thursday, 10 hours/day shift schedule with possible overtime offerings depending on the need.As an Ironworker your key responsibilities include but is not limited to:Erecting and installing scaffolding, construction cranes, derricks and other hoisting equipment.Assemble rigging (cables, pulleys, hooks) to move heavy equipment and materials. Assemble and erect pre-fabricated metal structuresCheck the alignments and join steel parts by bolting or tack welding them with an electric arc process.Minimum Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a Journeyperson Ironworker, preferably in industrial or construction settings.
Comprehensive knowledge of ironworker materials, tools, and installation techniques.Strong commitment to safety practices and protocols.Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.Ability to work efficiently in a team environment and independently as required.Effective communication skills to collaborate with team members and project stakeholders.Minimum Requirements:
- CSTS-09 or CSTS-20
- ESC Fall Protection
- ESC Confined Space Entry & Monitor
- ESC Elevated Work Platform
- Journeyperson Ironworker (generalist, structural or ornamental) certification.
- Satisfactory completion of a Pre-Access Drug and Alcohol Test
