Job description: Finance Manager- Information Technology for a 6 month contract located downtown Toronto in a Hybrid Model. Strong possibility of extension and longer term!Responsible for the financial strategy and operations for the IT department, ensuring alignment with financial goals and regulatory
requirements. This role involves leading the budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis
processes, as well as ensuring compliance with financial reporting standards.
Provide strategic financial insights to support OPEX, and CAPEX budgets related to Information Technology.Advantages
Hybrid model, contract position with strong possibility of extension and longer term!ResponsibilitiesIT Knowledge and Contract Review:
Financial Strategy and Planning:
Lead the end-to-end process for IT financial planning, including budget
preparation, forecasting, tracking expenses, manual JE, and long-term financial
planning.
Provide financial insights and recommendations to support IT strategic initiatives
and projects.
Financial Reporting and Analysis:
Oversee the preparation and analysis of financial reports related to IT, ensuring
accuracy, completeness, and compliance with relevant standards.
Validate and monitor internal controls over financial reporting, including
adherence to internal and external policies, standards, and guidelines.
Analyze financial data to identify trends and opportunities.QualificationsChartered Professional Accountant (CPA)
7 years’ plus professional experience in finance or accounting.
Strong background in managing IT financials, both CAPEX and OPEX.
Extensive experience in overseeing IT maintenance contracts and improving
related processes.
Demonstrated expertise in IT software, hardware, and asset management.
Proven experience in reviewing and managing IT contracts effectively.
Excellent communication and leadership abilities.
Three (3) years’ plus of leadership experience, managing teams or projects.
Experience with financial reporting practices and large financial information
systems.
Demonstrated understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles
(GAAP) and International Finance Reporting Standards (IFRS).
Technical Skills:
Advanced knowledge of financial reporting standards, including IFRS and
Sustainability Disclosure Standards.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word).
