We’re enabling world-class customer, patient and clinician experience by leveraging industry-leading AI & digital healthcare capabilities to deliver the highest quality and standard of excellence in care.What you’ll doAs an IT Project Manager II on the HCE Digital Transformation Team, you will play a critical role in driving forward and delivering technology projects that transform and integrate our Healthcare Excellence operations through technology solutions. Your IT project management skills, collaborative approach, clear communication and high level of organization are key strengths that will be critical in transforming how we deliver world-class customer, patient and clinician experience through technology solutions.Here’s how:
- Managing large and small IT projects as required
- Developing comprehensive project plans and budgets, monitoring progress, and conducting regular status reviews with team leaders and management, ensuring all CRQs and impacts are signed off on by impacted leaders
- Documenting and keeping track of moving project pieces through detailed project management artifacts (Workback schedules, Gantt charts, risk & issue logs, action logs, etc.)
- Managing project team and resources including planning, monitoring, coordinating tasks, hosting project meetings and communicating all asks, actions and decisions
- Project reporting, including internally within HCE technology portfolio and across partner teams
- Collaborating closely with partner PMs, leads and teams to deliver on cross-functional projects
- Preparing presentations and documentation for, and participating in governance meetings and executive updates
- Establishing and advocating for HCE IT project management best practices while assuring compliance with TELUS PMO guidelines, tools and processes
QualificationsWhat you bring
- Minimum 5 years of experience as an IT project manager
- A university degree in IT, Computer, Business, or equivalent experience
- Team player, known for strong collaboration and interlock with partner PMs and cross-functional project teams
- Highly organized and adept at managing multiple concurrent technical projects to completion on time, budget & scope
- Well-versed with phases and principles of Project Management and agile methodology
- Experience working with SI’s/3rd party implementation groups
- Ability to effectively engage stakeholders to establish cross-functional alignment for projects
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with ability to develop and present clear, concise and tailored content for a range of audiences
Great-to-haves
- Project Management Professional (PMP) certification or equivalent experience
- Postgraduate degree (Master of Engineering or Business)
- Proficiency with JIRA
- Healthcare industry experience
