Job description: Job Description:Our client, a well-established organization in Calgary’s energy sector, is seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Joint Venture (JV) Accountant for a contract position. This role will support ongoing accounting functions, ensuring accurate financial reporting and compliance with joint operating agreements.Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare and analyze monthly JV billings, cash calls, and variance explanations.
• Process and reconcile joint interest transactions and allocations.
• Review and ensure accuracy of JV charges, overhead recoveries, and non-operated billings.
• Coordinate with other departments on JV accounting issues.
• Respond to internal and external audit requests related to JV activities.
• Maintain compliance with accounting policies, joint operating agreements, and industry standards.
• Assist with budget preparation and financial forecasting for joint venture activities.

Requirements:Qualifications:

• Minimum 3+ years of relevant JV accounting experience.
• Diploma or degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• Strong understanding of joint venture agreements
• Proficiency in accounting systems and Excel.
• Excellent communication, organizational, and analytical skills.
• Available to start immediately.
