Job description: Work with the Business Analysts and Developers to write and execute manual test cases for the on-going software development effort.
Perform functional testing to validate that software applications meet specified requirements and user expectations.
Execute regression testing to ensure that previously identified defects have been resolved and no new issues have been introduced.
Collaborate with QA team to enhance testing processes and methodologies.
Display a proactive attitude, willingness to learn and adaptability of changing project requirements.
Develop a professional and productive relationship with company staff.
Job Requirements: University Degree or College Diploma in Computer Science (or equivalent experience in the field)
3 to 5 years experience with manual software testing in a more complex environment (i.e. not just a shopify site or web based thing.)
Examples of complex environments: hedge or mutual fund, finance, accounting, insurance, banking, healthcare, engineering
Preference will be given to applicants with relevant certificates and training in Information Technology
Preference will be given to applicants with current training and skill-sets
Basic experience with software testing (academic or professional experience)
Experience with the test automation technologies (an asset, but not required). Selenium preferred.
Knowledge of the investment fund industry systems, operations, technical and business processes (an asset, but not required)
Hands-on experience working with relational database systems (SQL Server preferably)

Expected salary: $55000 – 65000 per year
