Our client is searching for a Junior Accountant as they continue to grow their team in Downtown Calgary. The ideal candidate will be responsible for proving backup support to AP and AR teams, assisting in the preparation of financial reporting, and maintaining/reconciling the general ledger.Your success will be defined by your ability to:

• Maintain and reconcile the general ledger and assist in preparation of financial statements.
• Assist in budget preparation and financial forecasting and conduct month-end/year-end close processes.
• Support in the preparation of detailed financial reports, ensuring compliance with financial regulations and company policies.
• Process vendor invoices and payments, perform three-way matching, and resolve discrepancies (AP support).
• Generate and send invoices, monitor accounts receivable, and reconcile AR accounts (AR support).

Your strengths include:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field from an accredited institute.
• Minimum of 3-5 years of accounting experience, preferably in the renewable energy sector.
• Proficiency in accounting software, SAP knowledge is considered an asset.
• Excellent analytical skills
• Highly detail oriented and accurate.
