Job description: Job Description:Our busy client in Calgary is currently seeking a Junior Accountant to join their established team for a full time opportunity.As the Junior Accountant, your day to day responsibilities may include, but not be limited to:
- Assist in preparing bank reconciliations to ensure financial records are accurate and balanced
- Record journal entries and maintain general ledger transactions
- Monitor and manage accounts payable and receivable, including tracking expenses, invoices, payments, and payroll records
- Assist with month-end and year-end closing activities, including the preparation and submission of financial reports
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records and documentation
- Support audit processes by providing required reports and documentation
- Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and relevant accounting regulations
- Other Ad Hoc Duties
Requirements:Advance your career as a Junior Accountant with our client. The successful Junior Accountant will possess the following
- Previous experience as a Junior Accountant or in a similar accounting role
- Familiarity with Sage 100 (considered a strong asset)
- First-rate accuracy and attention to detail
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong organizational and time management abilities
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and general accounting software
