One of Canada’s Best Managed Companies for 20 consecutive years and ranked as one of the top banks in Canada on Forbes World’s Best Banks list for two years in a row, we are a team of smart, gutsy, and driven individuals.We’re looking for a Junior Accountant to join the Accounting team!Reporting to the Manager Accounts Payable, you are primarily accountable for reconciling and posting entries while supporting the Accounting Operations and Financial Reporting teams. As a Junior Accountant and an integral member of the accounting team, you are a problem solver with strong communication and time-management skills, ensuring variances are identified and deadlines are met.More specifically, the scope of your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

• Provide support for various accounts payable functions, including supporting the processing of bonds of indemnity and official cheques, recurring entries, fraud write-offs, reviewing large vendor invoices, and payments made to the CRA.
• Assist with various ad hoc accounting operation entries and analysis as required.
• Provide support for special projects and initiatives as required.

Requirements:To qualify, you will need at least the following:

• Certification: Working towards an accounting certificate or diploma is considered an asset.
• Experience: Between 2-5 years of progressive accounting experience. An equivalent combination of education and experience may also be considered.
