Are you a junior industrial engineer who is a very strong communicator? Do you aspire to get on the ground floor of industrial manufacturing by learning the ins and outs of purchasing, procurement, and logistics using your strong bilingual language skills coupled with your strong Excel software knowledge? Our client, situated in the East End of Montreal is a leading manufacturer of automated industrial machinery serving a global clientele. They are looking for a dynamic purchasing and procurement agent who will be groomed to learn their products, methods and processes with the expressed intention of becoming the right-hand person to the Materials Manager, who oversees the whole purchasing and logistics department. You should ideally have a B.Eng Industrial Engineering, or a diploma in logistics or supply chain plus 1 year or more of relevant industrial experience including experience with the use of MRP or ERP systems, preferably with purchasing or procurement experience, be fluently bilingual, and possess strong communication skills to negotiate with suppliers, job shops for machined parts, and contractors. The work environment is really good with many people staying at this company for many years, even whole careers.
