The incumbent will strive to achieve The Best Homeowner Experience in all activities undertaken.What you’ll do

  • Proactively manage all development activities of the community through programs such as earthworks, civil construction, utilities, topworks, landscape etc., to ensure that our homeowners community desires are implemented.
  • Responsible for financial aspects such as budgeting and tracking cost of projects in relation to the community development while ensuring quality and cost effectiveness.
  • Manage engineering design process for communities.
  • Manage tender process with contractors.
  • Strategize with consultants on servicing and grading plans.
  • Coordinate with other Project Managers and liaise with Builder on critical paths.
  • Stay current on industry and municipal standards.
  • Lead, mentor and inspire project coordinators and co-op students.
  • Maintain positive relationships with Contractors, Municipalities, Agencies, and our Builder.

What you bring

  • Diploma or degree in Engineering, Planning or related field.
  • 3+ years working in project management.
  • Forward planning, scheduling; coordinating consultants, contractors, municipalities, and internal resources.
  • Financial Management: always managing by the numbers and understanding the project’s financial position.
  • Strategic execution: assisting in the development and implementation of project strategy; calling on the right people at the right time; challenging the process.
  • Communication: professional internal financial and timeline reporting; integrating well with Builder; early detection of issues
  • Relationship skills: consistently balancing the interests of all stakeholders (municipal, political, partners, suppliers, Builder, etc.; upholding the reputation of Mattamy to facilitate smooth application processes
  • Teamwork – overall contribution to the team; proactively helping others; consistent positive attitude; mentoring, teaching, training and learning.
