So, if you’re looking for an opportunity to take the next step in your landscape construction career, look no further.As our new Lead Hand, you will be responsible for project execution, assistant leadership, quality workmanship, and short-term planning.If you were working for us, here are some of the things you would have done last week:

• Assist with periodic supervision, delegation, coordination, and execution of day-to-day work activities of a small crew of 2-3 people
• Assist in managing the safety, quality, and productivity of all work
• Interpretation of blueprints, structural drawings, and specifications
• Layout of work areas to required elevations, grades, and drainage requirements
• Mathematics, site calculations, and material quantity take-offs
• Operation of chainsaws, jackhammers, laser levels, measurement equipment, shovels, hammers, drills, etc.
• Operation of heavy equipment, including skid steer, excavator, and loader
• Operation of crew truck and trailer, at AZ level
• Completion of complex and detailed projects of stone, wood, water, plantings, etc.
• Periodically complete and submit required paperwork or electronic logs on a daily basis as required, including daily site meetings, planning reports, attendance/timekeeping
• Complete and submit daily planning to coordinate completion of project goals, prepare for project tasks, and identify project needs & obstacles
• Maintain standards of cleanliness and organization in assigned trucks, trailers, equipment, job sites, and shop/yard areas

Ideally, here’s what we’re looking for:

• Great communicator, detail-oriented, organized, and can lead others
• Embrace meeting deadlines, working smart in strenuous conditions
• Skilled in landscape constriction
• Comfortable operating power tools and equipment
• Ability to calculate grades, slopes, and complex landscape layouts
• Ability to read and interpret landscape designs and instructions
• Comfortable using a smartphone for communication and reporting

And if you have the following it would be a bonus:

• Valid AZ license
