Job description:
- Prepare and process all outbound shipments, ensuring accuracy and timeliness
- Responsible for picking and assembling orders, preparing orders for shipment, and loading and unloading trucks
- Responsible for receiving shipments by signing for incoming shipments, inspecting products, and ensuring proper and accurate paperwork is maintained
- Receive and inspect all incoming shipments for accuracy, quality, and damage
- Verify shipment contents against packing lists and purchase orders
- Receive, unload, sort orders and inter-company transfers accurately and in a timely manner
- Marking incoming parts and stocking them in the stockroom
- Perform a daily update as needed, as well as an annual intake of inventory
- Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other warehouse equipment safely and efficiently
- Report any issues or discrepancies to the Parts/Warehouse Manager promptly
- Provide excellent customer service when interacting with customers or vendors
- Supportively work alongside all department colleagues
- Accountable for maintaining a safe, clean, and efficient storage area
- Must adhere to Metro Trucks code of conduct and Health & Safety procedures
- General housekeeping duties
- All other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
- Previous Shipping and Receiving / Warehouse experience preferred
- Exceptional attention to detail
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Position requires: standing, lifting, walking, bending, and occasional ladder use
- Ability to follow instructions, and work both independently and as a team
- Successful candidates will be big picture thinkers, honest and professional
Job Type: Full-timeSchedule:
- 8 hour shift
Experience:
- Warehouse experience: 1 year (preferred)
