Job description: The purpose of the roleThe Maintenance and Construction Coordinator will be responsible for coordinating and managing maintenance requests from stores, head office and the distribution center. The incumbent will ensure the timely processing of all requests received and will follow up to ensure satisfaction.Key responsibilities
- Administer and filter maintenance requests (plumbing, lighting, general repairs, etc.) for stores, head office and distribution center.
- Contact and coordinate various contractors and service providers to complete repairs.
- Plan and coordinate maintenance work.
- Maintain a detailed log of all maintenance requests, track progress and ensure appropriate follow-up until completion of the work.
- Act as the main point of contact between store managers, suppliers and internal teams to ensure smooth communication.
- Update maintenance and service records using SharePoint and other technology tools.
- Work closely with the maintenance team and assist in internal department communications to ensure efficient processing of all requests.
- Ensure that all maintenance activities comply with health and safety regulations.
- Ensure rigorous cost management and ensure that contractors offer competitive rates.
- Identify and propose improvements to maintenance processes to increase operational efficiency.
- Respond quickly to emergency situations in stores, head office, or distribution center to ensure continuity of operations.

Requirements
- High school diploma.
- 3 to 5 years of related experience.
- Bilingualism, written and spoken, in French and English (the person will have to communicate with suppliers across Canada).
- Experience working with external suppliers and contractors, with good negotiation skills.
- Knowledge of the Microsoft Office suite.
- Experience in budget management and control of maintenance costs.
