Job description: Job DescriptionWe are seeking a Senior Manager, Accounting & Finance on behalf of our client, a prominent, large group of companies based in Dartmouth, NS. In this permanent, cross-functional role, you will manage financial professes, reporting, and analysis for the group.This dynamic opportunity is ideal for a professional accountant with a passion for leadership, strong quantitative skills, and the ability to build constructive relationships, contributing to overall business success.Key Responsibilities for the Job:

• Review and analyze monthly accounting files and financial statements
• Budgeting and forecasting
• Analysis, interpretation, and reporting of operating results and performance
• Year-end audit coordination, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements
• Manage, review, and update internal controls and processes
• Providing leadership and mentorship to the accounting team
• Ad hoc analysis, reporting, and project work

Skills & Attributes for Success:

• Chartered Professional Accountant designation
• Minimum 5 years’ experience in a similar role with management responsibilities
• Proven leadership and relationship building skills
• Adaptability and strong problem resolution skills
• Self-motivated and results oriented work ethic
• Professional judgement and diplomacy
• Successful in process improvements and implementation
