Huron Perth Healthcare Alliance/Alexandra Marine and General Hospital
Temporary Full-Time (approximately 13 months)POSITION SUMMARY:
The Manager, Regional Pharmacy and Chemotherapy provides leadership and management expertise in ensuring the development, coordination and delivery of an effective and cost efficient multi-site regional hospital pharmacy program and chemotherapy service. Currently the Regional Pharmacy Program consists of a partnership between the Alexandra Marine and General Hospital (AMGH) and the Huron Perth Healthcare Alliance (HPHA). Currently the Cancer and Medical Care Clinic is based out of Stratford General Hospital site and provides systemic therapy as a regional satellite of the London Regional Cancer Program as well as medical care services.REPORTS TO: Director, Diagnostics, Regional Pharmacy and ChemotherapyDATE REQUIRED: As Soon as PossibleSALARY: $130, 628.00 per annumQUALIFICATIONS:

  • Registered as a pharmacist in good standing with the Ontario College of Pharmacy
  • Masters degree in Administration, Business, Pharmacy, Health Care or Science, preferred
  • Completion of an accredited hospital pharmacy residency program, preferred
  • Member in good standing with the Canadian Society of Hospital Pharmacists, preferred

EXPERIENCE:

  • Over seven (7) years of recent progressive clinical pharmacy and management experience; hospital pharmacy leadership preferred
  • Experience working in an oncology / chemotherapy setting considered an asset

  • Well developed planning skills
  • Demonstrated ability to create and sustain effective trams and build relationships
  • Commitment to interprofessional model of service delivery
  • Commitment to professional, accreditation and legislative standards of practice
  • Demonstrated initiative in identifying opportunities and resolving issues
  • Knowledgeable in Pharmacy informatics and technology and financial management
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proven management skills including financial, human resources, evaluation, planning, organizational, utilization and time management skills
  • Demonstrated commitment to person centered care and inter-professional practice model of care
  • Demonstrated analytical skills necessary to gather and interpret qualitative and quantitative data
  • Well-developed computer skills, including knowledge of Meditech, Microsoft Office, Word and Excel programs
  • Valid Drivers Licence to travel between sites
