As a Senior Accountant / Manager, youâll play a key leadership role, reporting directly to the Partners and overseeing a diverse portfolio of client engagements. Your responsibilities will include:
- Leading and managing audit, NTR, review, and tax engagements, ensuring high-quality results and adherence to deadlines.
- Providing expert oversight on audit processes and ensuring compliance with IFRS, ASPE, and other standards.
- Delivering polished, comprehensive work to the Partners while exceeding client expectations.
- Building and maintaining lasting relationships with clients by offering strategic insights and proactive communication.
- Driving business development efforts to expand the firmâs reach and impact.
- Mentoring and coaching senior and staff accountants, guiding their professional development and fostering a culture of growth.
- Staying informed on client industries, market trends, and technological advancements to deliver insightful recommendations.
The successful candidate:
You are an experienced leader with a strong background in assurance and audit, ready to thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative environment. Hereâs what makes you a great fit:
- CPA designation with a minimum of 5 years of experience in assurance and audit.
- Comprehensive knowledge of the CPA Canada Handbook, audit methodologies, review procedures, and tax compliance.
- A proven track record of managing audit engagements across various industries.
- Strong project management and leadership skills, with the ability to juggle priorities and meet deadlines.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, enabling you to collaborate effectively with clients and team members.
- Familiarity with CaseWare/CaseView, TaxPrep, and other audit software (experience in a paperless environment is a plus).
- A self-motivated and organized professional with sharp analytical and problem-solving abilities.
