Job description: Job Description:An established and growth-oriented energy company is seeking a Marketing Accountant to support the full cycle of marketing accounting activities across a diversified portfolio that includes both operated Oil & Gas properties and non-operated Gas and LNG interests. This position offers a high level of visibility across finance, commercial, and operations, making it ideal for an adaptable and solutions-focused professional with strong attention to detail and a passion for improving processes.This is a hands-on role where your ability to manage complexity, work cross-functionally, and provide accurate and timely reporting will be essential to the company’s operational and financial success.Key Responsibilities

• Process and reconcile complex marketing and purchaser statements, ensuring accuracy and timely payment coordination
• Perform detailed pipeline balancing and inventory valuation for multiple commodities
• Prepare netback calculations for Oil, Gas, NGL, and LNG streams to support internal reporting and decision-making
• Manage invoicing for LNG sales and oversee related revenue accounts receivable
• Record and reconcile related party transactions in accordance with internal policies
• Act as the primary accounting liaison for the Commercial team to ensure commodity transactions and transportation agreements are accurately reflected
• Interpret and apply terms from various commodity marketing and transportation agreements to ensure accounting compliance
• Work collaboratively with the Production Accounting team to support timely revenue recognition and reporting
• Identify opportunities to enhance processes, tools, and internal controls related to marketing accounting

Requirements:Preferred Background

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline; CPA designation strongly preferred
• CAPPA certification is an asset
• 10+ years of progressive experience in marketing accounting (mid or back office) or production accounting within the upstream oil & gas industry
• Strong working knowledge of commodity marketing arrangements, pricing structures, and logistics
• Demonstrated success in driving process improvements and implementing practical accounting solutions in a fast-paced environment
• Highly collaborative and accountable, with the ability to navigate complexity and maintain accuracy under tight deadlines
