Haztech has an immediate opening for a qualified NCSO to join our team in Saskatchewan starting August 17th. This individual must be a qualified NCSO.Role Description
This role will develop and effectively implement policies and procedures for the project as related to health and safety which will guide the site in regards to safety.The role will actively monitor and verify processes is in place to drive timely completion of key activities for the project and verify deviations or excepted performance and communicate to site management.The duties will include but not be limited to managing review guidance documents and site specific policies/procedures, and ensure operations complies with site requirements. The successful candidate will provide support / guidance during planning meetings, and operations meetings to ensure risks are adequately identified and controlled to the level of safety requirements and requirements are being complied with in design and execution. Site safety supervision of operations, regular inspections of worksite to ensure compliance and risk identification/control, audits of Safe Work Permits, Tool Box Talks and other permits as required for high hazard tasks, and assist with incident reporting / investigations / corrective actions are part of the responsibilities as well. The goal with this role is to consult internal and external required regulations, and promote a proactive safety culture at all levels of the organization, with heavy focus on employee engagement towards the safety program.Qualifications, Skills & Competencies
· CSO designation
· Minimum 2 years safety experience
· Experience with working at heights, confined space, excavation, hotwork, lockout/tagout and scaffolding
· Experience providing site safety supervision
· Proficient computer skills in Microsoft Office
· Ability to work autonomously and under pressure
· Valid driver’s license and criminal record clearance
· Professionally represent Haztech and provide exceptional service to all clientsAbout Haztech:
