Although we call this position an office administrator, we see it more as a culture and people ambassador. You will own more than admin tasks but foster our company culture through human resources, event planning, vendor management, and more.While we seek the ideal person as described below, we at SPLICE believe that skills can be taught, but the right attitude and energy are essential to success. - Create a warm, welcoming office by managing front-end administration, including keeping the kitchen stocked, assisting with fun activities, ordering office supplies, and other administrative tasks.
- Liaison with vendors and our property management company; tracking when contracts and renewals are coming up and ensuring our team has the right tools in their tool belt to do their best.
- Build our culture by managing recruitment, onboarding, and other human resources tasks
- Accounting tasks including Payroll, Receivables and input of Payables into the accounting system
- Support our client success team by assisting with Audio Quality Assurance
- Collaborate on organizing and scheduling of small and large team events, volunteering, team building, special events/holidays, etc. You can take a small idea and run with it.
- Actively listen, go beyond the minimum, and model A-Player behaviour for the team.
- Collaborate closely with the Executive Team and Business Office team.
RequirementsQualifications:
- You love to dig into something complicated and hard and make it Fun, Safe and Easy
- Experience with human resources and accounting is a strong asset
- Experience with Payroll
- Experience in SAGE Accounting Softwre
- Excellent organizational and time management skills, with the ability to cope with a fluctuating workload. You don’t like to sit around and are good at finding something to fill your hours
- Demonstrates a high level of confidentiality and attention to detail
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, and critical thinking abilities
- Intermediate to advanced computer skills. Your friends and family describe you as a tech-whiz. Computers don’t scare you, and you know how to leverage tools to do your job better. Excel, PowerPoint, Dropbox, Asana, Outlook and Teams are your friends.
- Ability to work well in a team environment, assisting other members of the team as needed
- Ability to work 30 hours per week in SPLICE’s Calgary corporate office. We are a people-first company and can be flexible with how your hours are structured, but we picture seeing your smiling face pretty much in the office every day.
