Your daily work will consist of turf construction and maintenance including new landscaping, turf repair, minor irrigation repair, over-seeding, fertilizing, sweeping and mowing. The work involves physical labour, equipment operation, routine inspection, record keeping and report writing. You will also be required to operate small motorized equipment (including a skid steer loader, operating as an EQ2) and will be working outdoors in all weather conditions. You may be exposed to unpleasant waste materials and other biohazards in the course of your duties.About your background:You have a minimum of three (3) years’ experience in a field directly applicable to the work with knowledge of turf construction and repair, general construction, carpentry repairs and horticultural and arboricultural principles related to gardening, landscaping and park maintenance. You also have equipment operating experience on a skid steer along with some previous supervisory experience. Ideally, you hold a Level 1 Occupational First Aid certification. This term position is expected to last 3 months or longer.A valid, full privilege Class 5 BC driver’s license (or out of province equivalent) is required.
