Job description: Job DescriptionWe are seeking a diligent Part-time Bookkeeper to work with our media-based client in the Lakeside area of HRM. This is a permanent role, offering 20 hours per month.As the successful candidate you will handle the day-to-day financial transactions and maintain accurate financial records for the company. This role is ideal for someone with a strong background in bookkeeping, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to work independently.Key Responsibilities for the Job:
- Accounts payable
- Accounts receivable
- Processing invoices
- Bank reconciliations
- Journal entries
- Petty cash management
- Support external Accountant with year-end
- Other duties as required
Experience & Attributes for Success:
- Post-secondary education in business or accounting at the college or university level
- Minimum 3 years experience in a similar bookkeeping role
- Previous small business bookkeeping or office management experience is a considerable asset
- Proficiency with QuickBooks Office is an asset
- Self-motivated with strong organizational skills
- Timely, professional communication skills with a positive and reliable approach
