Job description: Job Description:We’re looking for a detail-oriented Payroll Accountant to manage full-cycle payroll for 100 employees for our established client in south Calgary. You’ll ensure timely, accurate payroll processing, compliance with regulations, and provide accounting support. The ideal candidate has 2+ years of payroll experience, knowledge of tax laws, and proficiency in payroll systems.Key Responsibilities:
- Payroll Processing: Manage payroll for 100 employees, including wages, overtime, vacation pay, deductions, and benefits.
- Tax & Compliance: Calculate and remit payroll taxes, file reports (T4s, W-2s), and ensure legal compliance.
- Payroll Records & Reporting: Maintain payroll records, prepare reports for management, and assist with month-end/year-end processes.
- Employee Support: Address payroll inquiries, assist with onboarding, and resolve pay discrepancies.
- Accounting Support: Assist with reconciliations, journal entries, audits, and process improvements.

- 2+ years of full-cycle payroll experience
- Familiarity with payroll systems (e.g., ADP, Ceridian)
- General accounting experience a plus
- Strong knowledge of payroll regulations and tax laws
- Proficiency in MS Office (Excel)
- High attention to detail and strong communication skills
Expected salary: $60000 – 70000 per year
