Job description: As part of the Monarch House team, your role as a Payroll Administrator will involve managing comprehensive payroll tasks and benefits administration, ensuring our team members are supported in every aspect of their financial and wellbeing needs.Schedule: Monday to Friday: 8:30 am – 4:30 pm MST
Setting: Remote (within Canada)Take an inside look at what you will do each day:
- Responsible for the timely and accurate processing of bi-weekly payroll and fielding related questions from staff.
- Audit and verify hourly timekeeping records and resolve discrepancies with managers.
- Monitor and audit all time off requests.
- Process wage adjustments, position changes, new hires, terminations and other payroll-related transactions.
- Ensure compliance with local, provincial, and federal payroll tax regulations (BC, AB and ON).
- Maintain ledger for payment of independent contractors.
- Benefits administration, including health and dental; set up for new hires and terminations; monthly audits.
- Administration of employee documentation, approvals, and performance reviews.
- Assist in the creation and implementation of payroll and accounting processes.
- Provide assistance and support to company personnel as needed.
Here is what you will need to be successful:
- PCP designation
- 3-5 years experience in processing payroll
- Legally authorized to work in Canada
- Understanding of accounting concepts and experience with journal entries, accruals, bank reconciliations, etc.
- Comfortable and confident user of payroll and accounting software. (Payworks preferred)
