Job description: Job DescriptionAre you a dynamic and dependable professional looking for an exciting opportunity as a Payroll and Budget Analyst with finance support responsibilities? Our client, a busy unit within the education sector, is seeking a skilled individual to join their team on a 6 month contract in Dartmouth, NS. In this key role, you will serve as a bridge between payroll, finance, and operational management teams.Key Responsibilities for the Job:

  • Utilize SAP for organizational management and maintain accurate system records
  • Facilitate cross-departmental communication and coordination
  • Manage and maintain schedules for staff and projects
  • Assist in the development and implementation of scheduling policies and procedures
  • Collaborate with the payroll team to integrate payroll data into financial systems
  • Assist in the development of budgets and manage internal budgets, monitor performance and providing reports
  • Conduct budget analysis, identifying trends and areas for improvement.
  • Perform accounting tasks related to budgeting, financial reporting, and reconciliation

Skills & Attributes for Success:

  • Post secondary education with a focus in business, commerce, or accounting
  • Payroll and Scheduling experience
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in a comparable role
  • Proficiency with SAP software and other computer systems and applications
  • Excellent organizational and analytical skills
  • Professional and approachable team player with strong communication skills
  • Ability to interact with internal team members and external stakeholders
  • Proven ability to develop comprehensive reports for management
  • Dedicated and self-motivated work ethic
