We are currently seeking a Payroll & Benefits Specialist to join our team. If you are looking for a rewarding career that offers a work life balance, this could be the opportunity for you.Key ResponsibilitiesReporting to the Payroll Supervisor, the Payroll & Benefits Specialist is responsible for payroll processing and benefit administration. This position will also train to become proficient in the completion of all senior-level payroll tasks such as T4 issuance, reconciliations, technology and process improvements.Qualifications, Education and Experience:
- Payroll Compliance Practitioner (PCP) certification is required.
- A minimum of three (3) years payroll and benefits experience.
- Post Secondary education in Business Administration would be an asset.
- Accounting/Finance experience would also be considered an asset.
Skills Required:
- Sound knowledge of the methods, practices and principles of preparing, calculating and processing all aspects of payroll.
- Possess a professional demeanor and maintain confidentiality at all times.
- Experience with Avanti, Pearl (formerly WorkTech), Great Plains Dynamics and Microsoft Office software.
- Reliable and detail oriented with work processes demonstrating a high level of accuracy.
