This permanent, full-time role involves ensuring timely and accurate payroll and benefits processing, while also providing support to employees and management in a growth-focused environment. - Oversee payroll processing from start to finish, including data collection, calculations, and payments
- Handle employee setups, terminations, and updates
- Ensure compliance with payroll laws and manage required reporting
- Customize payroll systems based on client needs
- Resolve payroll discrepancies and generate reports
- Conduct payroll audits to ensure accuracy
- Stay updated on payroll trends and suggest improvements
- Support payroll-related issues in employee and manager systems
- Work with the finance team to align payroll changes and record entries
- Manage employee benefits administration, including system management and vendor communication
- Track vacation entitlements and ensure adherence to policies
- Assist with hiring processes and documentation
- Participate in assigned projects and additional duties as needed
Skills & Attributes for Success:
- Minimum of 2 years of payroll processing experience
- Experience with employee benefits administration and management
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Problem-solving mindset with a strong sense of accountability
- Proficient in learning new software and technology
- Experience with payroll system Wagepoint is an asset
