Job description: Position Description:Position Summary:Reporting to the Resident Care Supervisors or designate, the Personal Support Worker is responsible for providing exceptional resident care and delivering services with a considering for cultural, spiritual, social and restorative needs. If selected for this role you will be asked to provide a Vulnerable Sector Check that is no more than six (6) months old and proof of being vaccinated for Covid 19.Qualifications, Skills & Abilities:

• Completion of Post-Secondary education would be preferred;
• Certified Personal Support Worker (PSW) as per the requirements of the Long Term Care Act and regulations;
• Minimum of (6) six months experience in a Long Term care facility will be considered an asset;
• Experience in working with seniors and/or chronic care residents in a Long Term Care Facility;
• Bilingualism will be considered an asset;
• All other duties as assigned.

Responsibilities:
The Personal Support Worker is responsible to follow all Glen Stor Dun Lodge and Corporate policies to ensure safe resident care, The individual will promote and participate in a team delivery of care, This position will identify and communicate resident equipment needs. The Personal Support Worker will need to demonstrate effective communication and interpersonal skills.Infection prevention and control requirement, as outlined by the O. Reg. 246/22: General under the Fixing long-term care Act, 2021, S.O. 2021, c 39, Sched. 1:
prospective candidates will need to demonstrate screening for tuberculosis and other infectious diseases in accordance with any standard or protocol issued by the Director.
