Who You Are…

You will have obtained a Personal Support Worker certification from a recognized institution. Other certificates and training you have completed include current CPR & Emergency First Aid, basic food safety training, Alzheimer’s and Dementia Care courses. Having the flexibility to work a schedule of various hours and all shifts inclusive of days, evenings, nights, weekends and holidays is a must. We are seeking individuals who not only have previous experience working with the elderly in a seniors’ living or long-term care environment but those who have a genuine passion for and commitment to working with seniors.

What You Will Do…

Reporting to the Director of Care, you are responsible for meeting residents’ needs according to an individualized service plan and all aspects of personal care for clients. You are dedicated and take pride in providing a high level of care to individuals. You will assist clients with activities of daily living, and you may perform and assist in light housekeeping, meal preparation, basic laundry service, recreational activities, and other related work.

Our Expectations of You…

  • Assists clients with hygiene and daily living activities, such as bathing, dressing, oral care, skincare, meals, and mobilizing according to the care plan and work assignment;
  • Assists clients and culinary team during mealtime;
  • Assists in the provision of social, spiritual, and intellectual activities for clients;
  • Administers client medications as assigned under the direction of the Client Services Coordinator/Manager and in accordance with Physician orders following all medication management policies and guidelines;
