Radiant Care Pleasant ManorPersonal Support Worker (PSW) – Long Term Care
Part-Time Contract, TemporaryHourly Wage Range: $23.93 – $25.77General
A thirty (30) hour per pay period, Part-Time Temporary Contract Personal Support Worker (PSW) – Long Term Care position is being offered in the Radiant Care Pleasant Manor Nursing department. The start date of this position is to be determined and the end date is to be determined.Scheduled Shifts

  • Training and education in caring for seniors in long term care
  • Demonstrated experience in caring for seniors in long term care
  • Current CPR Certification an asset
  • Valid PSW Certification

Eligibility and Selection Criteria
This posting has been posted within Radiant Care Pleasant Manor and externally. Internal applicants will be given priority based on seniority. External candidate selection will be made based on interview. While we thank each applicant for applying, only those selected for an interview will be contacted.Duties and ResponsibilitiesSome responsibilities include, but are not limited to,

  • Provides safe and efficient personal care for residents including all activities of daily living to ensure optimum physical, social, recreational, spiritual and psychological well-being
  • Effectively communicates with residents, staff and families
  • Provides excellent customer service in a respectful, courteous and pleasant manner
  • Provides individualized service in a home-like setting
  • Adapt to changing needs of residents and be able to adjust service delivery, as required under the direction of the ADOC/DOC
  • Observes and reports changes in resident’s status
  • Records necessary data on resident health and provision of service
  • Shares responsibility for care of equipment in the home and personal belongings of residents
  • Works co-operatively with team members
  • Receives direction from registered staff
  • Participates in quality improvement activities, in-service sessions, training as required
  • Performs other duties as assigned
