The physiotherapist will also provide client-specific consultation and education/training/in-services related to stroke rehabilitation for service providers, caregivers and families.REPORTS TO: Manager, District Stroke Centre & DialysisDATE REQUIRED: As soon as possibleSALARY: $40.36 to $56.30 per hourQUALIFICATIONS:Education:– Degree from recognized accredited university program in Physical Therapy– A member in good standing of the College of Physiotherapists of Ontario– Current Basic Life Support certification required– ADP certification preferredExperience:– Clinical expertise and experience in stroke rehabilitation and demonstrated knowledge of current stroke rehabilitation best practices– Experience in both hospital and community service delivery is an assetAbilities:– Demonstrated ability to practice effectively in an inter-professional collaborative environment– Sound understanding of the role of a variety of rehabilitation professionals in the provision of stroke rehabilitation– Working knowledge of and experience with theories and principles guiding adult learning and patient self-management approaches– Excellent communication, interpersonal, organizational, time management, problem-solving and innovation skills– Proven flexibility and a high level of initiative– Evidence of continued professional growth and/or professional development– Appreciation of resource utilization– Computer skills, particularly Meditech, MS Office, and/or other softwarePlease be advised that we are no longer accepting emailed or paper-based resumes.
