As a progressive and vibrant healthcare organization, we are committed to being an innovative center of excellence in community hospital care.Job DescriptionAssess and treat musculoskeletal injuries for the WSIB Specialty program and support Work-Fit Total Therapy with bundled care assessments, WSIB, MVA, and OHIP funded physiotherapy. Work closely with a multi-disciplinary team including collaborative assessments with Occupational Therapists, Physicians, and Surgeons and treatment with a team of Physiotherapists, Exercise Instructors, and Occupational Therapists. Utilize excellent assessment and treatment skills in work-related injuries, return to work planning, neurology and orthopaedics with goal-oriented treatment plans and discharge management. • B.Sc. or M.Sc. in Physiotherapy from a recognized institution required
• Current Registration and in good standing, with the College of Physiotherapists of Ontario required (with evidence of insurance coverage)
• Experience working in an outpatient setting is an asset
• Experience with WSIB Specialty and work-related injuries an asset
• Ability to motivate, be empathetic and client-centered in all interactions with patients
• Have a thorough understanding of confidentiality and patient dignity
• Initiative, good problem solving and excellent verbal and written communication skills are necessary
• Strong interpersonal skills with proven ability to interact effectively with an interprofessional team
• Must be flexible and show an ability to work independently and/or collaboratively with all team members
• Strong organizational abilities with efficient time management skills
• Satisfactory employment and attendance record required
