Job description: Job Description:We are offering a contract to hire employment opportunity for a Junior Accountant in Vancouver, British Columbia. This role is situated within the financial services industry and will primarily focus on managing and updating customer credit records, processing customer applications, and liaising with third-party administrators.Responsibilities:

• Oversee the preparation and processing of tax bulk payments, ensuring accuracy and timely submission

• Update the system with tax installment due dates and establish new tax offices as required

• Handle tax adjustment letters, investigate discrepancies, and process tax credit refunds to borrowers

• Address and follow up on tax-related inquiries effectively

• Organize tax bills received via email from clients and save them in the appropriate folder

• Submit municipal tax fee invoice to accounting and ensure proper coding

• Update the system with tax payment confirmation from borrowers who pay their own taxes

• Monitor and maintain customer accounts, taking appropriate action when necessary

• Handle customer inquiries, ensuring a high level of customer service at all times.

Requirements:

• Familiarity with Accounts Payable (AP) operations

• Understanding of Mortgage Payments procedures

• Experience with both Commercial and Residential Mortgages

• Ability to work in a fast-paced financial services environment

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

• Proficiency in financial software and Microsoft Office Suite

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field

• Commitment to continuous learning and professional development.
