Our vision is to unleash exponential people & business impact through data driven decisions, surfacing actionable insights and embracing people-centric technology.As part of the People Insights Area of Practice (AoP), we work as one team to unlock the full potential of our people data and technology, informing Roche decisions through research-based insights.The Opportunity:Full-stack Principal Software Engineer to work on an Agile team with other data and software engineers to develop and maintain data pipelines and Javascript front-ends. Partners closely with data science and business intelligence teams to build and maintain robust pipelines in service of downstream products through production-ready code in Python and Javascript.Orchestrates seamless development workflows with minimal guidance.Leverages and seeks to improve CI / CD processes in a collaborative development environment to achieve shared development objectives and seeks to continuously align development approach with best practicesLeads code reviews and QA activities to ensure high quality productsSynthesizes requirements from non-technical stakeholders, navigating ambiguity to reach a clear understanding of business needs and actively coaches other team members to improve requirements gathering processesLeads cross-chapter squads in delivering global productsActively contributes to and shapes the software development strategy within People InsightsSeeks to establish and grow cross-functional relationships outside of P&C in order to continuously improve the processes and tools used to deliver the products created within the teamWho You Are:8+ years of experience as a full stack developer with a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, Mathematics, or related field. Advanced degrees or certifications in technical or leadership competencies can be advantageousDemonstrates mastery of software engineering tools and conceptsExperience with Python (FastAPI, Pandas preferred)Javascript (Quasar/Vue.js), CSS, HTMLGood knowledge of and experience with UI/UX best practicesGit/Github (branches, code reviews, pull requests)AWS experience preferred (lambda/glue/S3)Snowflake experience preferredRelocation benefits are not available for this position.Who we areAt Roche, more than 100,000 people across 100 countries are pushing back the frontiers of healthcare.
