That’s why we’re always looking ahead, and not just to the next project or what’s next in our industry.We’re also looking at what’s next for you and how we can help you build a career you’re proud of.Here’s how a(n) Project Accountant for our Edmonton Melloy office contributes to our team:ResponsibilitiesAssemble client billing packages in accordance with contract terms and conditions and follow up to ensure timely payment.Reconcile and process all project-related accounts payable and other costing allocations.Participate in monthly project forecast review meetings to provide input on project financial status.Assist with internal/external audits, and year-end duties as assigned.Review and analyze monthly project reports to ensure accuracy of cash flow, profit recognition, and ledger balances.Subcontract Management: understand subcontract terms and conditions, audit subcontractor invoices and ensure subcontractors are paid within contract terms, etc.Communicate effectively and maintain strong client focus with internal and external stakeholders.Qualifications

• Three or more years of accounting experience, preferably in construction industry.
• Postsecondary degree or diploma in a related discipline preferred.
• Intermediate understanding of accounting principles, including maintenance of ledgers and cash flow management.
• Understanding of project forecasting and budgeting.
• Intermediate skills using Microsoft Office Suite and knowledge and experience with accounting software. Specific experience with Oracle/E1 an asset.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills required to interact with project personnel, suppliers, subcontractors and owners.
• Ability to multi-task, prioritize, and work in a team environment.Strong organizational skills, detail orientated, and able to meet deadlines and requirements.
