Job description: We’re looking for a Project Coordinator in the Commercial Construction Industry.Our client is looking for a Project Coordinator to join the team. The Project Coordinator reports directly to the Project Manager assists in the coordinating, scheduling, quantity surveying, reporting and quality control.Project Coordinator responsibilities:

  • Supporting tendering and bid evaluations, subcontract preparation, utilities and site services applications, permit applications, quantity take-offs, assisting in development of the project communication plan and managing project schedule
  • Project execution and document control responsibilities including RFI, Site Submittals, Change Requests and Change Orders
  • Project closeout responsibilities including assisting with inspections, owner training, managing the O&M Manuals, reviewing, tracking and communicating punch and deficiency lists, removing all insurance, closeout of utilities and site services, and removing temporary facilities
  • Maintain the integrity of the QA/QC plan
  • Track productivity and performance of the project
  • Support and grow ongoing trade partner and client relationships

The successful candidate has:

  • Post-Secondary Degree/Diploma in a Construction related discipline (equivalent of education and experience may be considered)
  • 3+ years of experience as a Project Coordinator or related position in commercial construction industry
  • A strong understanding of construction and safety practices and ability to read blueprints, schematics, field drawings and plans
  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office, and familiarity with project management software
  • Ability to communicate effectively with various individuals/stakeholders (written and verbal)
  • Strong organizational skills utilizing time management techniques to meet commitments
  • Ability to adapt and respond to changing needs and effectively troubleshoot and resolve problems/issues as they arise
  • Strong interpersonal skills with ability to build rapport and strong relationships, committed to providing a high level of customer service
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
  • Capable of making complex, decisions in a deadline-driven environment.
  • The ability to Interpret technical drawings and specifications

Compensation and benefits:

  • The discussed salary range is $65,000 – $100,000, depending on experience.
  • Candidates with additional experience and higher compensation expectations may also be considered.
