Our Project Management Organization (PMO) is a cross-border team that supports and collaborates to strategically provide for the business.The Project Coordinator’s – Distribution Construction will be responsible for supporting Project Managers with monitoring project functions in addition to planning, coordinating, and participating in meetings. The Project Coordinator will ensure that project plan administration supports the execution of field operations and deadlines are adhered to. Key Responsibilities:

- Provide support to Project Manager’s and the project team to effectively administer project delivery
- Support the Project Manager’s in moving projects from bid phase into execution phase
- Support the Project Manager’s with schedule updates
- Assist Project Manager’s in all project cost control, progress measurement, monthly forecasts of project related deliverables, procurement and subcontract execution, coordination of fleet and rental equipment
- Assist with the review of contractors or owners IFC and record drawings
- At completion, review the project for general compliance with contract documents including arranging for any required final inspections by the Project Manager
- Prepare contract required documents and ensure all required project documents are obtained
- Communicate ideas for improving company processes with a positive and constructive attitude, and for developing this attitude in others
- Inform the Project Manager’s and others about project status and issues that may impact client relations
- Support Business Development on proposals: ensure that Project Controls elements and execution plans are included
- Support Project Manager’s in ensuring project Health & Safety & Environmental Standards are being met
- Provide administrative support related to time-entry or onboard as required
- Assist estimating in gathering and analyzing return data
- Other projects & duties as assigned
What We Are Looking For:
- Minimum of two (2) years’ experience in a Project Coordinator role in Construction or Industrial/Manufacturing project management, is required
- Post-secondary education in Business Administration, Project/Construction Management, Engineering, or related program and/or Trade Certification, an asset (a combination of education and years’ experience will be considered)
- Able and willing to present a current valid Driver’s License and an acceptable five (5) year drivers abstract
- Able and willing to frequently travel (up to 50%) to field/on-site with work hour flexibility to accommodate project/site schedule
- Demonstrated knowledge of main construction office processes; project set-up; subcontract management; change orders; RFI’s; closeout
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite, experience with VP an asset
- Strong verbal and written communication skills with a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail
- Ability to work with minimal supervision and collaboratively in a dynamic environment
- Ability to identify problems/issues and generates solutions and makes sound decisions using standard procedures
